The goal of HollyDELL is to provide a safe, secure environment where learning is a life-long process, leading to as much functional independence as possible. Our mission is based on the belief that all students need a form of mobility, a means to communicate, and access to information and the environment.
Within HollyDELL school, small class settings are divided into preschool, elementary, middle and secondary programs. Within each class, students are provided with educational and therapeutic programs geared specifically toward their individual needs. Certified teachers, along with teacher assistants, provide a low student-to-teacher ratio, allowing students and teachers to form close, family-like bonds.
State certified teachers follow a curriculum with an integrated, multisensory approach. Our curriculum incorporates the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for the elementary and secondary programs, and the New Jersey Preschool Expectations and Learning Outcomes for the preschool program. Staff members work closely with the family to design a program that will encourage appropriate levels of independence for each student in the following areas:
